North Dakota offers three options for the Principles of Learning and Teaching or PLT tests. The right test for you will depend on your teaching plans and grade focus. Art, music, and P.E. education students should consider the PLT for grades PreK-12 to allow the most flexibility in future job searching. Some middle school positions may also require or prefer the PLT for grades PreK-12.
Some states, including South Dakota, accept the PLT test for grades 5-9 as well.
