How To Find...

Use this guide to help you locate information in a number of different formats!

Print Magazines

Due to high cost and low demand, the library does not receive many print magazines. Any print magazines we have are located in the main lobby of the library. We do not keep past issues of the print magazines in our collection either. The best way to find out which print magazines we have available is to stop by and take a look!

Get Magazines on Libby

VCSU provides access to over 5,000 magazines through Libby! Libby provides the last 3 years of the magazine titles, which you can read, download, and subscribe to without hitting your borrowing limit.

Never used Libby? Visit our guide to get started with Libby on your browser or as an app.

Once you are set up in Libby, you can find magazines by going to your shelf (the stack of books icon at the bottom of the page) and clicking the Magazine Rack section, by searching the title of the magazine you would like to read, or by using the magazine filter option in the library tab (the icon with the building).

Libby has multiple help pages about using magazines, which may be helpful if you have trouble navigating the app.

Magazines in Library Databases

If you need access to magazine articles that are more than three years old, you can access to a wide range of  magazines through our database subscriptions. Visit our database and searching tips help guide for more information on what databases are.

To find a specific magazine, open advanced search and use the magazine's title in quotation marks as your search term. Magazines are listed as journals in the results list. Once you have located your magazine, you can access any available issues by clicking the link under "View Online."

Below are links to a few of the magazines in our databases. Keep in mind, you will need to use off-campus access to view these links if you are not on the VCSU campus.
