Printing, Copying, & Faxing in the Library
Black/White Student Printing
There are three black and white student printers available in the Library. The printer on the first floor of the Library is located at the north end of the Reference Room, and is called "Library Reference Area." A second printer is located on the second floor in the lounge area across the hall from Library Classroom 207, and is called "Library 2nd Flr." A third printer located in the lower level Makerspace is called "Library Lwr Level." These printers are entirely free for students to use, and are paid for through student technology fees.
Color prints cost 15 cents per side on 8.5 x 11 paper, and 30 cents a side on legal-sized paper. In order to have a document printed in color, email the Library at email@example.com
with your directions for printing. We can print files from Microsoft Office products, as well as image files including PDFs. Your document will not be printed until you come to the Information Desk at the Library and pay for the printouts.
The photocopier in the Library's Reading Room has facsimile functionality. Faxes are $1.00 per sent transmission, but receiving faxes at the Library is free. Received faxes will be placed on the Hold Shelf for five days after which time they will be shredded. If you are expecting a fax, ask at the Information Desk. The Library's fax number is 701-845-7284.
There is one photocopy machine available for patron use in the Library. Copies are 15 cents per side on 8.5 x 11 paper, and 30 cents a side on legal-sized paper.
The photocopier in the Reading Room offers the option of scanning documents to email, and comes equipped with a 11.7" x 17" scan bed and a letter-sized top-loading scanner. Scanning is free. The following are more detailed PDF instructions for the use of each option:
