Search other North Dakota Libraries and Request an Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan allows you to borrow materials from other libraries. These materials will be delivered to the VCSU Library, you will be notified when they arrive and you can return the materials back to the VCSU Library-all free of charge.

To borrow an item from another library you must indicate the item you want and fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request. To complete this process, you must be logged in to the Library system. Log in here to do this.(Note: you need to use your ConnectND password to log in). Then, follow the steps below.

1. Enter a search in the ODIN All Libraries search box:

2. Your search will result in items from libraries all across North Dakota.

3. Determine which item you would like to borrow, click on the item title and then the Request button. A form similar to this one will be displayed with the item information already filled in.

If you want to request that the item be delivered to the VCSU Library for you to pick up, just click on Create ILL Request. You will be notified via email when the item has arrived at VCSU and you can pick it up. The item will be subject to due dates and fines from the lending library. Ask a Librarian to assist you in requesting renewals for interlibrary loan items.
