North Dakota
K-12 Certification: Completion of the Library Media minor (20 semester hours) and teacher certification by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction qualifies students as Librarians, the LM03 certification. However, electives must be chosen with care in order to qualify for a higher certification, LM02. The 10 semester hours of audiovisual courses required for an LM02 must be courses accepted by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. Students should work with the Director of the Library Minor early in their program to plan an appropriate course of study.
