LMIS 365: Organization of Information; (3 cr.) Instructor Jennifer Jenness
Description: This course provides an introduction to the principles of and practical experience in the use of both descriptive and subject cataloging, MARC format, and library automation. (Meets requirement for ND DPI LM03 & LM02 credential)
LMIS 370: Reference Sources & Services; (3 cr.) Instructor Susan Dopp
Description: Taught ONLINE from Mayville State University. Meets VCSU Library Program requirements as well as ND DPI LM02 credential.
LMIS 430: Administration of the School Library Media Center; (3 cr.) Instructor Susan Dopp
Description: A study of the objectives and functions of a school library media center and the principles of management. Consideration is given to teacher-librarian relationships and to current library issues. (Meets requirement for ND DPI LM03 & LM02 credential)
LMIS 470: Current Issues in Librarianship; (3 cr.) Instructor Jennifer Jenness
Description: This course is designed to provide an opportunity for library students and school library media specialists to investigate, study, and discuss current or controversial issues in school librarianship. It is intended to cultivate a continuing interest in professional growth as well as promoting networking and exploration of issues affecting the school librarian. (Meets requirement for ND DPI LM02 credential)
